JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Stop the Ban’s latest ad features Michael Wolff, retired Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice and now attorney for the Communist Party of China, who seeks to void the $24 billion judgement awarded to the State of Missouri for damages incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the Stop the Ban campaign claims to care about women’s health, safety, and rights, their spokesman is the lawyer for a communist regime which has repeatedly pushed a eugenics agenda focused on the destruction of women and children. A 2024 U.S. State Department report found that communist China pushed sterilization campaigns, coerced abortions and birth limits specifically targeting Uyghur and other minority women.

"Stop the Ban’s spokesperson is bankrolled by a communist, authoritarian country that has not only committed countless violations on women and human rights, but has carried out a state-sponsored eugenics program and a litany of abuses against women,” said Amanda Sanders, Communications Director for Her Health, Her Future. “Missourians deserve to know exactly who’s behind the Stop the Ban campaign. This raises serious questions and Stop the Ban owes Missouri answers.”

On September 3, Wolff signed a memorandum sent to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Southeastern Division asking them to throw out the $24 billion judgment Missouri won against the Chinese Communist Party for damages and loss to the state during the COVID-19 pandemic, including interference with production and purchasing, and the hoarding of critical medical and personal protective equipment needed by physicians. The filing asks the court to dismiss the case.

“Stop the Ban casts itself as a champion of Missouri women’s rights while their spokesperson legally represents a communist regime that waged a war on women and seeks to cheat his own state out of $24 billion they are rightfully owed,” Sanders said. “Her Health, Her Future calls on Stop the Ban to immediately remove Wolff’s ad and his position with the campaign.”
