Missouri House Takes a Step to Protect Privacy and Common Sense

The Missouri House has passed legislation requiring public schools, colleges, and certain state facilities to maintain restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and dormitory spaces based on biological sex. The measure reflects what many Missouri families already believe. Private spaces should remain private. Girls and women deserve safety and dignity. Boys and girls should not be forced into intimate spaces together because of shifting ideological trends. While questions remain about enforcement, the larger message is clear. Missouri lawmakers are recognizing the need for boundaries that protect families and restore common sense.

Privacy Matters and Families Know It

Most parents do not need a policy paper to understand this issue. They know daughters deserve privacy in locker rooms. They know young women should feel secure in dormitories. They know children should not be pressured to ignore obvious biological reality. Separate private spaces for males and females have existed for generations for good reason. They protect modesty, safety, and peace of mind. Missouri families are right to expect those protections to remain in place.

The Need for Clear Standards

For too long, many institutions across the country have embraced confusion instead of clarity. Rules have changed without parental input. Students have been told to stay silent. Families who object have been labeled unfairly for defending basic standards. This Missouri legislation is a reminder that public policy should reflect truth, not pressure from activist groups. Sex-based spaces are not discrimination. They are common sense protections rooted in reality.

Missouri Must Finish the Job

While this bill is an important step, families also understand that temporary statutes and agency policies can change. That is why stronger, lasting protections matter. Amendment 3 gives Missouri voters the opportunity to establish permanent safeguards that protect children from puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender transition procedures for minors. It also reinforces the principle that law should reflect biological truth and protect families from harmful ideology. Missouri should not be forced to fight the same battles year after year.

Protecting Women, Children, and Families

A healthy society protects the vulnerable, honors parents, and respects the differences between men and women. When government recognizes these truths, families are strengthened. Her Health Her Future is committed to defending children, protecting women’s spaces, and helping Missouri lead with courage and clarity. This House vote is a positive step. Now is the time to build on that momentum and secure lasting protections for Missouri families through Amendment 3.
